  • Booker was a sixth-generation master distiller who grew up at a distillery in the heart of Kentucky. He was born to bourbon. While others rejoiced to drink bourbon at age 21, Booker was thrilled to start making the stuff.

In 1992, Booker introduced the world to small batch bourbon. He actually coined the term “small batch.” With it came his own signature bourbon, Booker's® True Barrel Bourbon. Inspired by a 200-year-old tradition, Booker's® is bottled uncut and unfiltered*.

Booker’s® Bourbon is a rare barrel-strength bourbon, bottled uncut and unfiltered*. But you obviously know a good bit about bourbon, because you don’t end up here by mistake. We don’t advertise. We don’t do social media. We just do bourbon.

We focus on the sweet spot. The center of the rackhouse where the temperature and humidity stars align to create the deepest and most intense flavors. Once it’s aged to perfection, which always varies, the liquid is bottled uncut and unfiltered*. We don’t add, we don’t water down, and we don’t apologize for it. For some people, it may be too much. But for true bourbon fans, it’s probably the best ever.

    PALATE:

Deep and complex flavors of vanilla, nuts and oak.

    NOSE:

Robust vanilla and caramel notes; slightly smoky.

    FINISH:

Long and full; perfect for easygoing sipping.

  • This limited-edition release celebrates the time, effort, and commitment to our never-ending pursuit of craft. Aged twice as long as our flagship bourbon, Knob Creek 18-Year-Old owes its rich copper color and deep notes of caramelized oak to its extensive aging in our Kentucky rack houses.

    PALATE:

Full-bodied with notes of caramelized oak and hints of sweet vanilla and baking spices.

    NOSE:

Brown sugar and aged oak, with notes of char and caramel.

  • Basil Hayden 10 Year Old Bourbon features the same high-rye bourbon recipe that Basil Hayden fans know and love, but the whiskey is aged in barrels longer to create another layer of complexity and deeper flavor.

The result of the extra aging is a distinct whiskey with big oak aromas along with hints of char and vanilla. Basil Hayden trademark spice shines through as the perfect complement to the caramel sweetness and wood flavors, making the whiskey a memorable one for fans and newcomers alike.

Serving neat or on-the-rocks allows the sweet caramel and vanilla notes that develop from 10 years in a newly charred American Oak barrel to shine, complementing the spicy flavors typical to Basil Hayden high-rye mashbill. This whiskey is light enough to examine on the palette without the burn associated with higher-proof whiskeys.

    NOSE:

Big oak, hints of char, vanilla and rye

    PALATE:

Oak balanced by caramel sweetness and rye spice

    FINISH:

Lightly smoky with a subtle hint of char

  • Blending is an art form, and our Dark Rye is your chance to own what might very well be a masterpiece.

It all begins with Kentucky Rye, providing a firm foundation of spice, oak, dried fruit and subtle molasses undertones for this release to build upon. From there, Canadian Rye from our award-winning Alberta Distillery is skillfully layered in. A touch of Port, and its complementary notes of ripe fruit, provides the third and final layer to a whiskey just as at home on the rocks as it is in a cocktail.

Full in flavor, yet delicately nuanced, you’d be wise to grab a bottle of our Dark Rye to experience this magical blend for yourself.

    NOSE:

Oaky notes balanced with dark berries and molasses

    PALATE:

Complex blend of caramel, dried fruit, and oak with back notes of spice and a rounded mouthfeel

    FINISH:

Lingering dried fruit with a hint of sweetness and rye spice

Blanton’s Special Release

  • Named after former distillery president Colonel Albert B. Blanton, who always had very special supply of bourbon - his private reserve - handpicked and stored in legendary famous Warehouse H. The Blanton’s brand was launched in 1984 when Elmer T. Lee introduced the world to Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon a year before he retired. In doing so, he revolutionized the industry with the world’s first single barrel bourbon. Blanton’s Straight From the Barrel was the third version created, after the Original 93 proof and Gold 103 proof. This cask strength bourbon is beloved amongst connoisseurs.

    TASTING NOTES:

Dark chocolate, caramel with earthy undertones of walnut and hazelnut on the nose. The palate delivers warm vanilla, oak, toasted nuts and a rich spiciness with hints of butterscotch or honey. The high alcohol by volume is intense and powerful, yet inviting. Un-filtered, un-cut, unbelievable.

  • The world’s first single barrel bourbon was created in 1984 by Elmer T. Lee. Named after former distillery president Colonel Albert B. Blanton. Elmer recalled how Colonel Blanton would sometimes handpick a ‘honey barrel’ from the center of Warehouse H to enjoy with others. Many years later, the Blanton’s brand was created. Today, Blanton’s Single Barrel has become one of the most revered and award-winning bourbons on the market. The Gold Edition was the second version created, after the Original 93 proof. Coppercraft 407 Series

Daniel Weller Emmer Wheat

  • Launched in 2023, Daniel Weller is an experimental line exploring the impact of different strains of wheat on its storied bourbons, inspired by and named after the trailblazer of the Weller family. This exciting extension of the original wheated bourbon brand demonstrates Buffalo Trace Distillery’s excellence in innovation while honoring a forefather of American whiskey, Daniel Weller – grandfather to William Larue Weller – and the family distilling traditions he passed down to the generations of whiskey pioneers that followed him.

The inaugural release is made with Emmer wheat, an ancient Egyptian grain that’s rarely seen in modern-day stills.

Aged for nearly 12 years and bottled at 94 proof, the nose is fresh and nutty, with notes of orange zest, hazelnut, cinnamon and caramel; the palate a well-rounded blend of bold oak, sweet honey and orchard fruits with a complex oak-forward finish complemented by baking spice and leather notes.

  • STRAIGHT KENTUCKY BOURBON WHISKEY

Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. is widely considered one of the founding fathers of the bourbon industry, fighting for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, nearly three decades after he purchased what is now called Buffalo Trace Distillery. During his time, Taylor implemented several innovative methods still used today, including climate controlled aging warehouses. Many of the barrels selected for the E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel are aged in Warehouse C, which was built by Taylor in 1881 and proven to be an excellent aging warehouse. Each barrel is hand-picked and Bottled in Bond at 100 proof to honor its namesake.

    TASTING NOTES:

The aroma carries lightly toasted oak, with dried figs and butterscotch. One sip brings flavors of sweetness balanced with tobacco and dark spices. The finish is just long enough to prepare the palate for another sip. The bottle itself is a likeness to Colonel Taylor's original design used over a century ago.

  • STRAIGHT KENTUCKY BOURBON WHISKEY

Crafted from hand-selected barrels, this bourbon is bottled directly from the barrel; uncut and unfiltered at more than 125 proof. It reflects the way whiskey was produced in the days before Prohibition, when Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was the owner of Buffalo Trace Distillery. Drawn from barrels aged in warehouses constructed over a century ago under Taylor's watchful eye, the taste is smooth, yet powerful and uncompromising, just like its namesake.

    TASTING NOTES:

The aroma of cooked berries meets the nose, followed by a rich caramel and slightly floral smell. The taste is bold and full of spice that fills the mouth with a distinct flavor of toasty vanilla, dried oak and pepper. The finish is long and satisfying with a powerful rye character and lingering hints of fruit.

  • STRAIGHT KENTUCKY RYE WHISKEY

Straight Rye Whiskey has experienced a strong resurgence in the American whiskey landscape, yet Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was making this style more than 100 years ago. This small batch, Bottled-in-Bond 100 proof straight rye whiskey pays tribute to the former Distillery owner with a unique rye whiskey reminiscent of days long past.

    TASTING NOTES:

An altogether different recipe and profile than Sazerac Rye, this recipe contains just rye and malted barley, no corn. The result is an aroma full of dried fruit, black pepper, and a touch of fresh dill. A small sip brings an array of flavors both sweet and savory with a terrific balance of dark spices and subtle caramel overtones. The finish is especially pleasing with an oaky dryness that lingers just long enough.

  • Each spring and fall, a new edition to the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond series is released. Inspired by an original 1950's Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter, the packaging and series honor both the history of the Old Fitzgerald brand and the historic Bottled-in-Bond designation. The Old Fitzgerald line is well-known for its distilling pedigree, as the brand was first registered in 1884 and was eventually sold to "Pappy" Van Winkle during Prohibition. In 1999, Heaven Hill bought the brand and began distilling it at Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, KY. Today, in addition to our Old Fitzgerald Decanter Series, the legacy of Old Fitzgerald lives on in our other wheated Bourbons expressions: Larceny Small Batch and Larceny Barrel Proof.

  • Welcome, single malt lovers! You are holding High Country™ American Single Malt made in our copper pot stills high in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. As admirers (and imbibers) of the famed single malt whiskies of Scotland, we wanted to create a uniquely crafted version of an American single malt. To provide the robust, flavor-forward profile more typical of American whiskeys and of our High West style, High Country™ American Single Malt is distilled “on-the-grain.” This means that we leave the grain in during fermentation and distillation, instead of filtering it out. In the tradition of American and Scottish whiskey making, we use both freshly charred and second-use oak barrels during the maturation stage. These techniques produce a whiskey that shows its distinctive and delicious American qualities with a heavier mouthfeel, roasted malt character, and balanced complexity. High Country™ American Single Malt is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water while appreciating a magnificent western vista.

High West is Utah’s first legal distillery since 1870 and the world’s only ski-in gastro-distillery. If you find yourself in Old Town Park City, please stop (or ski) by to visit us. We’d love to share our passions with you: the American West, our contemporary western victuals, American roots music, and, of course, pairing all the above with our greatest passion—superb whiskey. Better yet, you ought to come out to our distillery in the mountains of Wanship, Utah. It’s a celebration of cowboys and the American West.

This 2023 release continues the Bomberger’s tradition of offering bold and beautiful 108 proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon with a rich and layered complexity due to a portion of the bourbon being aged in Chinquapin (Quercus muehlenbergii) oak. The Chinquapin oak utilized for the aging was naturally air dried and seasoned for three years before being toasted and charred to the exacting specifications of our Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson. In addition, some malted rye was used in the production of this bourbon. This is a bold and rich whiskey featuring its signature fruit and spice coupled with rich molasses and a complex, lingering finish that gives you something to savor.

  • Shenk’s Homestead Distillery Sour Mash Whiskey honors the legacy of historic American whiskey figure John Shenk, who in 1753 founded a distillery that was to become known as Michter’s in the 20th Century. It is made in Kentucky according to the traditional Sour Mash process whereby a portion of the previously distilled whiskey mash (referred to as “setback”) is added into the next batch. This full-bodied small batch whiskey is 91.2 proof.

Shenk’s is a Kentucky Sour Mash Whiskey made with a substantial amount of rye. The unique character of this 2023 offering results from its being produced with malted rye in the recipe. Additionally, for its maturation we utilized two different and quite special barrel profiles: a portion of it was aged in 18-month naturally air-dried and seasoned wood with our signature toast and char profile and a portion of it was aged in special toasted French oak barrels that were made from 24-month air-dried wood sourced from the Vosges region of France.

This is a warm and rich expression with highlights of spiced fruit, nougat, honey and spiced chocolate.

The “Best American Whiskey” according to Food & Wine magazine, our 10 Year Single Barrel Bourbon represents the culmination of over a decade of patient aging in specially chosen, new charred American white oak barrels. When a private barrel selection bottling of this whiskey sold for £166,000 (US$ 209,462) at an auction in London on July 12th 2020, it shattered the previous $78,000 record for a barrel of bourbon that had been set at a Christie’s auction.

This added exposure imparts a rich amber color, bold character, and pleasant smokiness, punctuated by an incredibly smooth vanilla finish. Much like Frank, this Tennessee Whiskey is one of a kind.

    MATURED IN SPECIAL BARRELS

    PLEASANT SMOKINESS AND VANILLA FINISH

Joseph A. Magnus Allocated

  • Artfully blended to enjoy with a fine cigar. A combination of award-winning Joseph Magnus Bourbon and 11 and 18-year-old whiskeys to assume bold, rich aromas of tobacco, spice, leather, vanilla, blanched almonds, and toffee. The Armagnac cask finish lends fruity notes of fig, prune, and dried apricot.

  • NOSE:

The nose on this is dripping with aged oak notes and furniture polish. There is this sort of perfect sweetness that accompanies it as the scents show off this sort of dark and mysterious personality. The fruits are concentrated and dry. Almost earthy. Figs, dates and caramlized apples can all be pinpointed. There is a melted butter aspect that reminds me of MGP bourbon (remember, I am describing what it was like blind).

    PALATE:

There flavor intensity in this dram is real. I’m expecting the proof to be pretty high on it (above 115 for sure). Loads of oak, old leather and rich tobacco keep steering me towards the opinion that this has aged for a while. Great citrus peel and black cherry flavors are delicious to find and add a nice contrast to the older elements. But there is this spice that really comes through that makes you realize that either the rye content is high within or it’s a finishing barrel that held a once-spicy liquid.

    FINISH:

A very intense finish that goes on forever. The high-rye traits are more noticable now than ever. On top of the moutain of tannins, there are still citrus peel, herbal notes and even a bit of botanical notes. That’s gotta be either the rye talking or an earthiness of the finishing barrel.

Hand selected by Master Distiller- Emeritus Chris Morris and Master Taster Melissa Rift, this small batch bourbon offers a unique character and flavor profile that will never be replicated.

Orphans Barrel Scotch Whisky

This 26-year-old whisky is one of those rare remaining stocks and is the third release in the Muckety-Muck series – a masterful blend that pays homage to the previous releases yet possesses a distinct profile on its own.

  • The aroma starts with a burst of caramel and notes of baked sugar backed by the taste of crisp fruit and light toasted oak. The fruit forward flavor is blended with hints of butterscotch vanilla which carry through to the finish.

Pappy Van Winkle Special Reserves

  • This bourbon whiskey is bottled at nearly barrel proof. Just a splash of Kentucky limestone water is added after a decade of aging. Rich, yet smooth, this bourbon takes a back seat to none.

A sweet vanilla nose with caramel, pecan and oak wood. Smooth, mellow flavor consisting of robust wheat, cherries and oak. Features a long, smoky wheat finish with hints of fruit, spice and oak tannins.

  • “A perfect combination of age and proof. The 12 years of aging and medium proof of 90.4 seem to be just right in creating a very pleasant drink of whiskey. This fine bourbon can compete with any excellent cognac as an after-dinner drink.” -Paul Pacult

Highlighted by light aromas of dried mango, cocoa, fruit and spiced peach. Flavors of honey, oak and tobacco dance on the pallet. The finish is balanced and dry, with a lingering tingle.

  • "This 13-year breaks the mold, as it is one of the oldest rye whiskeys available today. The maturity it has achieved while aging is quite obvious when you take the first sip. It’s a truly unique and rewarding rye whiskey experience." -Paul Pacult

A soft nose of chestnuts, spice, vanilla and fruit. Features flavors of cocoa, vanilla, spice, and white pepper. A long, warm and complex finish with caramel and spice combined with dry oak.

  • Expressly produced according to the exclusive Van Winkle family wheated-recipe and specially selected from barrels in the heart of the aging warehouses, this bourbon remained undisturbed for 15 years to age in deep-charred heavy oak untouched by human hands, unhurried by time.

An elegant and sweet aroma with caramel corn and vanilla. Features big flavor of leather, oak and complex fruitiness. Finishes smooth with notes of spice and oak tannins.

  • The #1 rated Bourbon Whiskey in the world with a 99 out of 100 rating by the World Spirits Championship. This bourbon is aged 20 years and bottled at 90.4 proof for a wonderfully smooth and rich profile. Pappy Van Winkle was a true character and like its namesake, this bourbon whiskey is full of character – quite a remarkable whiskey.

Intense and tantalizing. Smooth with a citrus zest note. Some sherry notes, dried fruits and vanilla. The finish is long and elegant.

  • This very rare, limited edition bourbon takes generations of distilling know-how to produce. Sazerac Allocations

  • Canadian Whisky

Caribou Crossing holds the distinction of being the world’s first single barrel Canadian whisky. Made from the finest sampling of our master collection of 200,000 barrels of whisky and designed to reinvent the Canadian whisky category.

  • Old Charter Oak Bourbon explores how the origin, age, species and preparation of white oaks influence the making of great American whiskey.

An April 2023 release from Buffalo Trace, this is the fifth bourbon in the distillery's "Old Charter Oak" line of whiskeys, a series that runs contrary to the common misconception that bourbon must be aged in American oak. This release is aged in a new, charred Spanish oak barrel. Spanish oak is commonly used to age sherry.

    NOSE:

Big, bold and rich on the nose — more richness than I was expecting, to be honest. Baked apples, pears, bold maple and brown sugar. Cherries, cocoa and a touch of espresso.

    PALATE:

On the palate, it presents medium richness, a plenty-enjoyable mouthfeel but far from a bruiser. Well-composed combination of brown sugar, sweet oak, a pop of pepper and ginger.

    FINISH:

Finish is pleasant and honestly the best part. The long finish exits gracefully, brimming with red fruits and cherries, sweet cream, zesty pepper and a touch of ginger.

  • Single Barrel Bourbon

Named for a stretch of rich farmland along the Kentucky River, Rock Hill Farms is a fine single barrel bourbon. The limestone waters of the Kentucky River that wind through Bluegrass country and alongside Buffalo Trace Distillery nourish the land and provide the distinct flavor to Rock Hill Farms.

Washingtonian Magazine named Rock Hill Farms "The World's Greatest Bourbon." This smooth bourbon is defined by the lush and rolling Kentucky landscape.

    NOSE:

The nose opens with light summer cherries, berries, baked apples, and light hay. Behind these scents is a delicious bed of vanilla, cinnamon bark, and charred oak. For a 100 proof bourbon there isn’t a hint of ethanol, which allows you to concentrate wholey on the scents that are present without being distracted. The mix between more traditional scents and lighter summer fruits strikes a nice balance and a really inviting way to start the sip.

    PALATE:

Light spice mixes with a creamy dose of leather and oak. Swirling the sip pulls forward sweeter flavors of allspice, vanilla sticks, toasted sugar, and a light hint of cocktail cherries. The creamieness found at the start of the sip really elevates this palate, resulting in a fantastic flavor profile that keeps pulling you back in for more.

    FINISH:

A large dose of rye spice opens up the finish. This spice is joined with hints of creamy vanilla, evergreen, and oak. The rye spice is the constant, as a long lingering combo of toasted oak and rye spice hangs on. While the finish doesn’t quite match the depth that the palate brings, it still allows the sip to end the sip on a memorable note.

  • The mighty Sam Bronfman, Seagram’s first master blender, revolutionized the art of blending as he built his Seagram Company into a massive spirits empire. Our Master Blender, Drew Mayville, comes from this Seagram master blender lineage. Before he came to Sazerac, Mayville was the last master blender at Seagram’s and his mentor was Seagram Master Blender Art Dawe, who worked directly with Sam Bronfman. Mayville created this perfect blend through experimentation and precision and it is fittingly bottled at our Old Montreal Distillery in Montreal, Quebec.

Tasting Notes by F. Paul Pacult:

“The nose is cigar box, pipe tobacco, Madeira cake, and toffee in that order of ascent, but then there’s a rush of oaky vanilla, limestone, flint and sweetened breakfast cereal. Hearty but elegant, woody but grainy, and floral yet spicy, which is quite an achievement. The entry is high octane and scintillating followed by lush tastes of raisins, prunes, mince pie, candied walnut, chocolate covered cherry, heather honey, toasted marshmallow, praline, nougat and pecan pie. The aftertaste underscores the attributes at aroma, entry and midpalate, bringing them into a grand finale that is hugely satisfying.”

A sweet nose with a presence of caramel. Tasting notes of honey, butterscotch, and a soft woodiness. It's smooth, delicate and calm. Features a smooth finish with a sweet honeysuckle flair.

  • KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY

A wheated bourbon with a full-bodied flavor and a balanced palate. Old Weller Antique is bottled at 107 proof, offering a complex taste and bold finish. It’s certainly a recognizable member of the Weller label, with its own unique characteristics to complement the high proof.

    TASTING NOTES

Sweet and unusual floral notes and coupled with vanilla. The taste is very well balanced with sweet fruit notes, strong vanilla undertone and sharp spicy tones, with a cinnamon finish.
